YMCA of Central New York Recognizes MPH Student

Our congratulations to sophomore Matthew Roberson, for being recognized for his volunteerism by The YMCA of Central New York. The press release can be found below.

Matthew has become well-known in the MPH community for his remarkable chess skills, his kind nature, and always having a smile on his face. Last year, Matthew was appointed to serve on the Youth Advisory Board for Harvard’s Making Caring Common Project. Read more here!

Monday, November 18

The YMCA of Central New York recognized volunteers at a dinner held on November 13 at Traditions at the Links. The dinner honored volunteers from the association’s Eastern District, encompassing the Hal Welsh East Area Family YMCA, the Manlius YMCA and Camp Iroquois.

“We’re so proud that in 2019, over 230 volunteers gave over 7600 hours of service in the Eastern District,” said Kelly Carinci, Associate Director of Development.
