Z Club Co-Presidents at the UN Today!

Z Club co-presidents Maddy Mafrici and Ren Brown are currently in New York City, where they are attending the United Nations CSW63 (Commission on the Status of Women).  They will also be attending a Zonta International sponsored event, “Strengthening Systems and Services that Empower Adolescent Girls to Say No to Child Marriage.” Following their sessions, they will go on a tour of the United Nations and have lunch in the Delegates’ dining room. This evening, they will join Zonta International President Susanne von Bassewitz for dinner and meet up with other Z Club students from the Cortland, La Fayette, and Homer school districts.  It will be the experience of a lifetime for these girls, as they share best practices and network with fellow Z Club members.

Zonta International Z and Golden Z Club Committee Chairman and MPH Z Club mentor Candace Edwards, and Syracuse Zontian Siobhan O’Hara are accompanying Maddy and Ren today.
