Cerio leads Manlius Pebble Hill to narrow victory over LaFayette
Joe Cerio scored 35 points to lead Manlius Pebble Hill to a 71-70 comeback victory over league rival LaFayette Wednesday night.
The Trojans trailed by 8 points at the end of the third quarter, but managed to close the deficit in the fourth, outscoring the Lancers 19-10.
Bryce Church knocked down 3 three-pointers and scored 15 points in the win.
Chris MacMackin led LaFayette with 23 points in the loss, while Jordyn Marchiano matched his season-high with 16 points.
In what may have been the deciding factor, MPH made 11 free throws compared to LaFayette’s 3.
MPH improves to 6-10 and will take on league opponent Fabius-Pompey Friday at 7:00 p.m.
