Beth Scott Receives Certificate of Achievement
Congratulations to MPH Suzuki teacher, Beth Scott, who was recently awarded the Certificate of Achievement from the Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA). This was earned through completion of required coursework, submission and evaluation of recorded student performances and lessons, and a self-evaluation essay. The purpose of this certificate program is to recognize teachers with a commitment to life-long learning and self-improvement, which is part of the SAA’s commitment to excellence, as well as encouraging continued professional development. Recipients of the Certificate are recognized in a special ceremony at the SAA’s annual convention.
Beth has worked for two decades to build and grow the MPH Suzuki Program – this year officially marks the 20th year of Suzuki at MPH! She was thrilled at this January’s Lower School Performing Arts Concert when the first and second grade Suzuki students joined Teresa Mirakian’s third, fourth, and fifth grade orchestra students. Beth shared that it was hard to contain her excitement about this historical first in MPH history. Beth expressed her appreciation to Teresa and to all the MPH families and students who have been invested in this musical journey!
