AP® School Scholar Roster Announced
College Board recently announced its scholar roster and we are pleased to report that Manlius Pebble Hill students did exceptionally well! Here’s a breakdown of the AP Exams at MPH.
- Ninety-seven students took 214 exams, which accounts for 45% of tenth – twelfth grade students.
- In tenth grade, 42% of our students took 15 exams = 1.15 exams per student.
- In eleventh grade, 90% of our students took 83 exams = 2.24 exams per student.
- In twelfth grade, 88% of our students took 116 exams = 2.46 exams per student
How do MPH scores compare with state and global averages?
- 83.5% of MPH students scored 3 or higher on at least one or more of their exams compared to:
- NYS = 64.1%
- Global = 61.3%
- 3.52 = MPH mean score for all exams compared to:
- NYS = 2.97
- Global = 2.89
Scholars
An AP Scholar designation is granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on 3 or more exams. At MPH, 19.5% of all AP students received this distinction with an average score of 3.16.
AP Scholar with Honors is given to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and have scores of 3 or higher on 4 or more of these exams. With an average score of 4.27, 10.3% of MPH AP students received this recognition.
AP Scholar with Distinction is given to students who receive an average score of at least 3.50 on all AP exams taken and have scores of 3 or higher on 5 or more of these exams. At MPH, 18.5% of AP students received this recognition with an average score of 4.21.
A National AP Scholar designation is given to students who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP exams taken and have scores of 4 or higher on 8 or more of these exams. With an average score of 4.4, 5.1% of MPH AP students were given this distinction.
