MPH Senior represents New York at All-Eastern Honors Ensemble
Senior Lydia Kelly performed a NYSSMA solo last spring and received a perfect score. That perfect score earned her a selection into the New York All-State Mixed Choir. There, she received an application to the National Association for Music Education All-Eastern Honors Ensemble, which included submission of recommendation letters, resume, and her NYSSMA scoring information. She was selected and was thrilled to be one of 800 talented high school students from 13 states in the eastern region of the country to perform in a variety of musical ensembles. Led by conductor Tim Seelig of San Francisco, California, the All Eastern Mixed Choir performed Saturday at the famed Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Lydia has an impressive history of wowing the MPH and greater community with her talents in the performing arts, including her most recent accomplishment, portraying Charity in the Upper School’s production of Sweet Charity. Congratulations!
