MPH students to present A Chorus Line” “
Manlius Pebble Hill School’s Performing Arts Department will present the long-running Broadway musical, “A Chorus Line,” Dec. 8-11.
The high school production, featuring a cast of 26 students, is being presented through a special arrangement with licensing agent Tams-Witmark Music Library, Inc. Eight musicians, plus a set and technical crew of 10 students. are also involved .
Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. December 8, 9, and 10. Matinee performances are also scheduled at 2 p.m. on December 10 and 11.
“A Chorus Line” contains mature themes and language that may not be suitable for children under the age of 13. The Dec. 10 matinee, however, is a special family-friendly adaptation.
“A Chorus Line” opened on Broadway in 1975 and ran for more than 6,000 performances before closing in 1990. It presents the stories of Broadway dancers auditioning for places in a chorus line.
Tickets to the MPH production of “A Chorus Line” are $10 each. At the family-friendly performance at 2 p.m. December 10, tickets are $5 for children under the age of 12. For tickets, call 446-2452, ext. 120.
