MPH wins first place in national student newspaper contest
The Rolling Stone, Manlius Pebble Hill School’s student newspaper, has received the first place award in the 2011 American Scholastic Press Association newspaper competition.
In announcing the award, the ASPA called the MPH publication, “an excellent school newspaper, which shows the creativity and journalistic knowledge of… editors, reporters, writers, photographers, layout/graphics designers and advisor.”
MPH senior Erin Simmonds, of Baldwinsville, is editor of The Rolling Stone, and Melissa Chessher, of Syracuse, is advisor to the student newspaper staff.
